After the murder and mayhem caused by US forces before they were defeated and sent home with their tail between their legs from Vietmnam, why were they not made to pay for the damage they caused. American thugs murdered millions of innocent people in massacres such as the one My Lai and by dropping Napalm on villages. They defoiled the Vietnamese jungle and ripped the countru apart. All this was because the Vietnamese people did not want to be exploited by the US capitalist corporations like McDonalds and Coca-Cola, they wanted their economy to serve all their peolpe. After the defeat of the Capitalist fascist invading murder gangs do people agree that the US should have been forced to mpay compensation

we might have been asked but doubt we would have.

we went there to fight communism and failed.

we had leaders int he white house (3 generals a vice president and a president) who ran the entire war from a war room.
they didnt give the war to the generals int eh field.

they were so scared of forcing war with China directly, that they refused to attack the air bases north of Hanoi that could have turned the war.

China has easy access to the entire country because we wimped out.

Actually, this is pretty good proof that
the United States did not lose the war
in the traditional sense.

That is, we didn't become a colony
of the North Vietnamese - we simply
failed to achieve our purpose.

It used to be that when you lost a war,
you lost your country ... however, when
the United States is one of the warring,
we're not talking about the Vietnamese
(or the Insurgents) walking down
Pennsylvania Blvd, we're talking about
failing to achieve a purpose.

As to what the Vietnamese wanted and
didn't want - I think the answer would
vary from person to person. There are
certainly some who are doing very well
because of the American companies
now doing business there.

The Vietnamese were did not have the
power then, nor do they have the power
now, to force the US government to
make such reparations.

At best, you might manage a little guilt ...
And there is enough evidence of the horrible
things that the Communists did during the
same period, that I think that's a losing
battle.

All the things u said never changes the fact that , Usa killed innocent people for their own interests which is saving the world from communism. You can tell anything u want but vietnamese won that war. A withdraw is also counted as defeat where u had more than half million soldiers involved. So in my opinion, america should pay reparations in terms of war crimes inflicted on humanity. No one cares about how many soldiers did usa lost but everyone cares about civilian deaths caused by usa. I also find UN as one of the main causes of vietnam war where un did nothing like all other big country vs small country wars like in hungary 1956. The damage done by us troops cant be even described, while the effects of agent orange still goes on the vietnamese people. Sorry and I dont believe in usa who always creates its own enemies to find an excuse for invasion of a country to use its resources like in iraq. Un stands for only small vs small and does nothing where us is involved.

America had never lost the Vietnam war. Instead; in regard to the term of humanism, it had won such a war as well. That was why Vietnam Communists have never dared mentioning out the term of reparations toward America at all.

They wanted to salvage what money was left, so that in a couple of decades they could develop a website where confused revolutionaries-in-a-box who discovered Che Guevara on Wikipedia 3 hours ago could mouth off about American Capitalism while supporting it.

Holding off the impending communist wave which could, and did, do atrocities much worse is something that should be penalized?

You are not taking into consideration the tremendous loss of life that had
taken place in Vietnam, the Americans lost a great deal of their men, and
they should not pay any reparations due to this..........................................
