If someone who was 200 lbs wanted to lose 5 lbs, would they lose it more easily then someone who was 110 lbs and wanted to lose 5? Or does it not matter?

I think so, because it's more of a strain on someone who weighs 200 lbs. It's likely that the person who weighs 110 is more active, and would find it easier. That's not always true though, I think it depends on the person. I'm obese (just barely, but still obese) and I've always been at least moderatively active, and have always kept some muscle on top of the extra fat, so I find it still hard to exercise, but I can still do it, and sometimes it's easier for me than a friend of a smaller build. It really depends on the person, age, gender, and probably diet.

Yes, the bigger you are the easier and faster it is to loose weight. That's why if you're over weight and you start exercising you'll lose your first pounds easily, but those last 5-15 lbs are hard to lose!

No, it's not easier, just faster because the 200 pound person has to work harder. Think of them as a truck and a sedan and go for the same distance, the truck certainly will use up more gas than the sedan. whoever burn more fuel will lose more weight.

Yes , if you dont have what to loose it is much more difficult , if you are 200 lbs you can do it a lot faster if you work out

Yes.....that is why the last few pounds are so darn hard to lose. When you first start a diet, the pounds come off with hardly any effort...but the closer you get to you goal the harder it becomes.

I think the present weight of person does not affect his or her condition to lose weight, it depends on the program and interest of doing so.

Yes, I would think so. Also if a 200lb person loses 5lb, it will probably be water weight and it is much easier to lose water weight than fat!

HTH : )

yep. body has to work harder to get and stay active (not easy with extra weight) therefore, more calories burned and weight comes off faster.
