Lightning Ridge has lots of underground homes and walk through mines which public can go through and tour. The opals are awesome and are different to the ones found in Cooberpedy it's just a matter of taste and which opals you prefer.

Coober Pedy and Andamooka in South Australia, Lightning Ridge in NSW. South Australia produces mainly white opal while NSW has mainly black opal. There is an underground motel in Coober Pedy.
