You can have the dermatologist discuss treatments with you, but also they will get better with time. Make sure you use some retin A or an AHA to help to slough off skin as that will help. Also, getting the over the counter "peels" helps as the newer skin you remove will grow in healthier and without the scars. Good luck and good for you that you found a treatment that works!

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

Neutrogena has a product called "Acne Mark Fading Peel"

I'm 30 and have a had bad acne since I was about 12 and have always had marks. Since I started using that, my skin is the smoothest and clearest it has ever been!!! I've not even been wearing foundation and before I absolutely had to to even out the blotchiness. This stuff works wonders!!

But since you're under a dermatologist's care, you should ask him before you start any skin regimen...

No surgery just blemish cream. and SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN. Sunburning scars makes them worse so protect them and they will fade, you're young and your skin is still fresh. treat it well.
