It depends on the girl. Lots of girls will like you if you're shy, being shy isn't bad at all as long as you don't appear arrogant rather than shy.
Lots of girls are intimidated by loud outspoken men whereas there will be other girls that will be impressed by them. Just be yourself. If people are put off by the fact that you're shy then you're obviously not suited anyway!
