My girlfriend has insecurity issues… if I meet a new girl she will get angry. So I don’t have female friends except my past girlfriend who I hang around with but I have invited my girlfriend to come with me during those times—she just makes excuse and doesn’t come. My girlfriend asks me what I am doing and where I am going. Often times accuse me of finding someone else—saying I have a backup girl waiting to breakup with her. I think she is taking it too far… should I just breakup with my girlfriend? My past girlfriend says that I should be happy. What do you think?

That sounds like an insecurity that would break up a relationship, simply because if she loved you and trusted you then you would be free to do what you want.
I know most relationships have their insecurities but that is severe, maybe you need to speak to her about it.

Yes it will ruin a relationship, but hanging out with an old girlfriend is going a step too far. Women are in general very insecure. For example: my girlfriend can't stand it when I talk to my ex-wife, but she understands that it must be done due to the fact that we have a child together.

Insecurity in women is partly the result of her basic nature. But i also think that a women loves with a feeling of surrender and absolute giving attitude. It may seem strange to you, but she only expects from the man what she herself would do for you. If she expects you to see, love, think about ONLY HER, she would be willing to do it for you.
I am not saying it is a normal behaviour. Trust should be the basis of any successful relationship. But that trust has to be created over a period of time. Before even having second thoughts about your girlfriend, sit back and introspect if you had done all possible in love that should make her relaxed and have trust in you. Are you responsible in easing her insecurities, keeping them as they are or actually increasing them?
If you leave her, you are only confirming that she was not unnecessarily insecure. You will only make her fears come true. If you love her help her come out of these insecurities with ENOUGH LOVE. There is no difficulty that ENOUGH LOVE will not solve.
Please do not make her MORE INSECURE in the future by leaving her.

Well first off don't get your ex into this business cuz basically by doing that you are letting her into your relationship life and thats a signal screaming "you want me back don't cha?" and girls will have their insecurities especially if you don't tell them often enought how much you mean to them. If you did that more often then she wouldn't have this problem cuz she would now know that you only care about you.

A relationship should make you happy, not anxious, or worried. If you're not happy, then you should move on. If you really love your girlfriend, you should sit down and talk to her about her anxieties, and insecurities. If she can't get them resolved, then you may need to move on. Only you can make that decision, because you know what, and how much of the situation you can handle, and what the relationship truly means to you. Good luck!

ur past girlfriend just wants to get back with u. u need to sit down with ur current gf and discuss this with her. if things dont change then yes, u need to breakup. being with someone like that for a long period of time takes its toll and u will be miserable and hurt at the end.

Well I'm a guy and I don't let my girlfriend hang out with dudes. We have an agreement I don't hang with chicks she don't hang with dudes. The only girls I can hang with are the girlfriends of my guy friends because they are off limits. Get used to it some day you will have a hot chick and she will be all flirty with her guy friends and it will piss you off. Its just how it is

I totally understand how you feel. It really depends on how much her insecurity's bother you and how bad the jealousy is.. If it is no big deal to you and you can brush it off do so.. But if your like me and it drives you crazy tell her and say you better shape up or ship out you don't need that crap!

i have 2 suggestion that you can choose with
- you can have a talk with her about those issue and who knows she might understand you and change
- or you just do what feel like to do ( breakup with if she really goes to far)
