OK...I feel moronic! I have been doing my taxes online for 8yrs now...and you sure couldnt tell this year! I was AND am in a hurry so therefore I started downloading and filing on the first site I came to. AND oh my goodness they deleted $25 out for filing my Fed taxes...BUT if I file my state on this SAME SITE...I will have to pay ANOTHER $25 for state. ANYWHO...I deciced NO WAY this is NOT going to happen, SO the next day...

Yes you can do it on another site.

Maybe, maybe not. Some states require you to e-file your state return at the same time you file your Federal return. MO is a good example of one. If your state requires it and you don't file them together you'll have to file a paper return with the state.

You probably won't save much money going to another site. Nearly all sites charge for state filing. And some sites won't file a state return without preparing a Federal return first.

I filed my federal taxes on one site and did my state taxes for free through the state website. Your state should have the same type of service. Type in your state + income tax in the search engine and you should get to the site for your state.

You shouldn't have a problem. Keep in mind that you can always fill out the paperwork yourself and mail it in for free.

yes, lot of sites offer free federal filing, but normally u pay for state filing. See different sites

I don't know for sure call the 800 number for your state and ask. Or contact them on line . They are usually promt and faster if you CALL.
Either way I believe you have to pay to file electronically.

Check your state website to see if they allow efiling at that site - many states do.
