We come as we are, He does the rest.

Just as I am without one plea,
But that thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidd'st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God! I come, I come.

Just as I am, and waiting not,
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee, whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God! I come, I come.

Just as I am, though tossed about,
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God! I come, I come.

Anyone who calls on Jesus will be saved. There is a cost of following Christ, but that does not stop you from coming to Him.

I believe that you basically had to leave everything wordly behind in order to be able to follow Him completely.

That is why He said that it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, because it is so difficult for man to give up his possessions.

I think the major restriction is that Jesus Christ died almost 2,000 years ago and was just a bloke.

No he didn't, neither does he put qualifiers for people coming to him today.

He came not for the righteous, but for sinners.

So in order to come to Jesus you must be a sinner.
Well, I guess that means anyone.

If we confess our sins, and repent and accept Christ as our Savior- then we shall be saved. We must take up our cross and follow Him, meaning there is a cost to following, but to come to Him, He paid it all on the cross.

All should come.

Matthew 11:28
Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

2Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

cool avatar.
It is clearly written that Jesus rejected none.
However it is also written that heretics are to be rejected but he calls everyone to repentance and faith and forgives them if they are sincere.

No, come to him as you are. All you need is a desire to make yourself a better person.
