They only make up 2-3% of the population in the US, but I believe there are at least a dozen Jewish Senators...why is that?

So...nobody has an explanation for why a small minority ethnic/religious population has such power in our government? And nobody is concerned that this minority might be using their disproportionate governmental power for their own interests, as opposed to the interests of the majority of the country?
The USA Today newspaper recently ran a front-page article decrying the dearth of Blacks in the US Senate (Blacks make up 12-13% of the US population, but have only one Senator)...why can the USA Today run such an article, and I can't even ask this question and get a straight answer?

i asked this same question a few months ago and i went and did my research. regardless of people calling you racist or judge mental, they do in fact have a great deal or power and sympathy when it comes to our government and it is true that most global corporations are owned by jewish people and almost all Media and banking businesses. it has nothing to do with singling out the jews or being 'racist' considering 'jews' are not a race but a religion according to definition, but the simple fact Israel has a stronghold on our government and always has. i don't think all Jews are bad, as this is a common misconception, but i will say i haven't met one i liked, and i haven't met one that wasn't stingy to some degree. ive also heard since my research that our National Bank of America, was once the NJBA but of that i'm not sure.

I'm not sure why religion matters as to anyone holding public office.I don't even consider a persons religion when deciding who gets my vote.I only care if he/she thinks along the same lines as I do and will he stand up strong for America and preservation of the American way of life.
Why because those of us that don't agree with you get a thumbs down. That the height of closed mindedness. Thanks you affirmed my first impression of your post.

because Jews have always been achievers, its a cultural norm, and believe in helping people, including serving in political office. you can explain the dearth of black senators because there have been additional institutional barriers and a history of disenfranchisement to contend with.
same with the disparity in representation of women in all branches of government. remember women could not vote until the 20th century.

Wondering why this is in the Immigration area - but that aside - what difference does it make as long as the person is representing the people that elected them?
The answer to your question is simple - they were elected.

Who cares and why? Jews are people just like you and I. They just have some different beliefs. Because they might not agree with you is no answer. Others don't believe as you do either.
