I'd bring it in my backpack, with the cords in a seperate pocket, and one or two games, so it would be carry-on. There's nothing sharp or anything -unless I decided to break a game disc and slash someone's throat or something- but I do have a wireless controller, would that affect anything? Don't think it would but just want to check.

I'm pretty sure I'm fine.

Yes, you can take it in your carry on luggage, but you won't have anywhere to play it as you need a TV with appropriate ports to plug it into and a seperate power source which isn't avilable on the plane. Also, wireless devices such as remote controls, wireless mouses and the like are not allowed to be used during flight.

My husband travels for work and often takes his PS2 with him in his carry on. He's never had a problem getting through security with it.

hey the rays wont do something. i positioned PSPs and laptops via plenty. yet as you're maximum in all probability American i be conscious of little as i'm from south Africa(blue bulls each of how 20-19 win against the sharks to win great !4. shifting on.) i might somewhat verify in it with quite some bubble wrap. while you're taking it as carry convey capability cords etc. additionally that's safer understanding your safety at hand it in to safety and ask that they take up on the airplane and hand it decrease back after the flight so as which you supply a physically powerful photograph etc. plus they wont supply it 50 scans. yet ja x rays secure, safety no longer secure.

I fly often for business and always take my laptop with me, I dont think a PS2 would be any different. When you get to the security gate just take it out of your back pack and place it in its own separate bin when sending it through the x ray detector. They will check it, see its not a threat and you will be on your way.
