You didn't indicate where you live.
If you are in the US, every state/city has an Area Agency on Aging. You might look in the phone book, under the County/City name, followed by "Agency on Aging". (Example: Arlington County Agency on Aging) They offer many services for seniors.

Also, local Dept. of Social Services (some places call it Dept. of Human Resources). Within that agency, there are "Adult Protective Services" specialists.
