When Jacob (Israel) laid on his deathbed, he prophesied to each of his sons. At Genesis 49, Jacob said to Judah:
10 The scepter shall not depart from Judah,
Nor a lawgiver from between his feet,
Until Shiloh comes;
And to Him shall be the obedience of the people.
The references to "Shiloh" and "Him" refer to the promised One, Messiah Yeshua (Jesus), who is a direct, blood descendent of Jacob's son, Judah (Luke 3:23-38; please note, this is Mary's genealogy, which goes all the way back through Judah to God Himself).
Isaiah 11:1-10 clarifies this even further: that the Messiah will come out of the "root of Jesse," meaning that He will be a physical descendent of Jesse, David's father.
At 2 Samuel 7, God makes an unbreakable Covenant with David and his descendents:
12 “When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. 15 But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. 16 And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever."
This eternal throne is the Throne that Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) sits upon now in Heaven. When He returns to earth following the 7-year Tribulation, He will sit upon an earthly Throne. Jesus' reign is ETERNAL and will NEVER end.

Well, when Christ returns, He will replace him on the throne. David was of the Tribe of Judah, where down the generations, womb to womb would come the Christ child.
Jesus Christ was partly of the Tribe of Judah, the King-line, and the Tribe of Levite - the Priest-line. When Christ returns, He will be the King, our High priest. He fulfills both lines.

It was not eternal Dynasty, But eternal life, & Jesus Christ was his hope. Because David looked for the Day his redeemer would come, & bring his soul out of paridise part in hell, Now paridise is in the heavens.

--This never ending Kingdom or dynasty to David was really to fall on Christ Jesus of whom David was in the lineage to. Please note:
(Isaiah 11:1-3) “11 And there must go forth a twig out of the stump of Jes´se; and out of his roots a sprout will be fruitful. 2 And upon him the spirit of Jehovah must settle down, the spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the spirit of counsel and of mightiness, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah; 3 and there will be enjoyment by him in the fear of Jehovah.. . .”
--Jesse was Davids father
--Here again is reference to Christ coming from Davids lineage through the line of Judah:
(Revelation 5:1-5) “5 And I saw in the right hand of the One seated upon the throne a scroll written within and on the reverse side, sealed tight with seven seals. 2Â And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice: “Who is worthy to open the scroll and loose its seals?” 3Â But neither in heaven nor upon earth nor underneath the earth was there a single one able to open the scroll or to look into it. 4Â And I gave way to a great deal of weeping because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. 5Â But one of the elders says to me: “Stop weeping. Look! The Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered so as to open the scroll and its seven seals.””
Shiloh is another title or reference to Christ.

(Shi´loh) [He Whose It Is; He to Whom It Belongs].
1. In pronouncing a blessing upon Judah, the dying patriarch Jacob said: “The scepter will not turn aside from Judah, neither the commander’s staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong.” (Ge 49:10) Beginning with the rule of the Judean David, power to command (the commander’s staff) and regal sovereignty (the scepter) were the possessions of the tribe of Judah. This was to continue until the coming of Shiloh, indicating that the royal line of Judah would terminate in Shiloh as the permanent heir. Similarly, before the overthrow of the kingdom of Judah, Jehovah indicated to the last Judean king, Zedekiah, that rulership would be given to one having the legal right. (Eze 21:26, 27) This would evidently be Shiloh, as the name “Shiloh” is understood to signify “He Whose It Is; He to Whom It Belongs.”
In the centuries that followed, Jesus Christ is the only descendant of David to whom kingship was promised. Before the birth of Jesus, the angel Gabriel said to Mary: “Jehovah God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule as king over the house of Jacob forever, and there will be no end of his kingdom.” Lu 1:32, 33) Therefore, Shiloh must be Jesus Christ, “the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah.”—Re 5:5; compare Isa 11:10; Ro 15:12...
