I'm talking about a normal common perm and this new Japanese Hair Straightening system, it's like a perm, but the opposite (supposed to keep your hair straight for six months or more).

Any kind of heated appliance and chemical treatment you apply to your hair will damage it.

The japanese system you are talking about is called the Yoko System (excuse my spelling it could be wrong). It takes about 6 hours to do and needs to be done by a highly regarded hair salon. If you have afro hair it may not last as long but the results are pretty damn impressive. If your hair gets wet it still stays straight.

It is very expensive though, around £300 although some salons are cheaper.

But you cant dye your hair or have any other chemicals in your hair when you have this done.

thats called getting your hair chemically striaghtened and no its not new any type of perm is bad for your hair but i believe it to be better for you to get some type of perm rather than striaghting it or curling it every day
