I listened to the lyrics of this song and I feel compelled to understand the meaning of it. Any ideas?

Seems to me like the guy has feelings for someone but have been rejected,the usual old love problem.

It seems to be saying act upon what you feel without thinking it through.
"For your sake I will hide the real thing" implied that the subject is in love with someone and it would be bad to show it.
"Guide this light that I've found" seems to be saying that the subject will shape and control the object of their love.
I don't see how this song applies to any spiritual concept.
In short, while the words in the song are nice when taken line by line, it really doesn't make that much sense overall. Like many songs, it is not particularly meaningful when taken as a whole.

I read the lyrics. Sorry, it doesn't look spiritual to me. It looks like what it says. Some girl dropped him and he's seriously bummed. The event has colored every aspect of his life.
