people never believe me because it is so simple, but dove soap.. it is great at cleaning, is not abrasive, and is a great moisturizer as well.. it is not a treatment that will get rid of, or will reduce, zits already present, but it will stop most from forming (if youre a teenager, you just have to expect some acne)

also, it is a treatment that you can safely use multiple times a day, although i would not* recommend doing it more than twice

Instructions
STEP 1: Resist the urge to attack when these plugged sebaceous glands pop up. In other words, don't pop your pimples'this can cause infections and even scarring. STEP 2: Keep in mind that a combination of hormonal activity, a buildup of bacteria and the shedding of dead skin cells causes pimples. Do what you can to prevent a breakout by establishing a skin-care routine appropriate for your skin type. STEP 3: Have patience. It could take up to one month for a blemish to disappear completely. The less you poke at it, the better. STEP 4: Buy an antibacterial, oil-free concealer that can blend the redness of the pimple into your own skin color. Green shades tend to offset redness the best. (This might not be an option for those who don't wear makeup.) STEP 5: Try a facial mud mask. This may shrink a pimple. STEP 6: Realize that despite the happy teens in the commercials, 'zit zapping' solutions'medications you apply directly to pimples'don't do much more than dry out the top layer of skin covering the pimples. These medications don't provide a long-term cure. STEP 7: If you are going to break the rules by 'extracting the blemish''aesthetician-speak for popping your pimple'wash your hands, then lightly squeeze the top of the pimple with a tissue or cotton swab. Clean the area thoroughly when you're done. If nothing happens, leave the pimple alone until it's ready to pop. STEP 8: Apply a benzol peroxide acne medication to the pimple and avoid applying medication to the surrounding area. Tips & Warnings
If you're desperate (you get an unsightly blemish two days before your wedding, perhaps), consult a dermatologist about receiving a shot of cortisone to eliminate a pimple.
Pimples can indicate the presence of acne, a chronic skin disease. If you have recurring pimples, talk to a dermatologist about acne medication. Your dermatologist may prescribe antibiotics, certain brands of birth control pills, or even Accutane for severe acne.
Consider carefully before using Accutane. Although this is the only truly long-term solution for severe acne, it can have serious side effects and is known to cause serious birth defects when taken during pregnancy. Sexually active women who use Accutane should use two forms of birth control.

Do you have overproductive sebaceous glands, which are responsible for oily skin? The good news is this skin type is generally slower to show fine lines, wrinkles and discoloration. The downside can be more frequent breakouts, large pores and a greasy appearance. The following steps can minimize the negative effects.
Instructions
STEP 1: Stick with the basics: The experts suggest cleansing your face two or three times daily with good old soap and water. Pack a premoistened cleansing pad if you won't be around a water basin throughout the day. STEP 2: Understand that dermatologists and aestheticians often disagree on which types of soaps or cleansers to use'but all agree that once you find a product that works well for your skin, you should continue using it. STEP 3: Follow the recommendations of dermatologists and shower or bathe in tepid rather than steaming-hot water. Hot water can strip your skin of needed moisture, while cold water can shock your skin. STEP 4: Avoid using cleansers that tend to overdry skin. This paradoxically causes your skin to produce even more oil than usual. STEP 5: Use only noncomedogenic moisturizers and sunscreen products'this means they're oil-free and won't clog pores. STEP 6: Talk to your dermatologist about a class of drugs called retinoids, which reduce production in oil glands and shrink their size. STEP 7: Keep in mind that oil glands are very sensitive'stimuli such as hormones, heat and (some say) fatty food can trigger them. STEP 8: Remember that your efforts to keep your oily skin clear can only go so far, as some studies indicate that oily skin is hereditary. Tips & Warnings
Constant breakouts may indicate that you have acne or another skin condition. Contact your dermatologist for medical advice and guidance.

If you don't want to put tons of money into a face care regiment...use an exfoliating cleaning (something with those little scrubbies in it) like Noxema Black Head Clearing Scrub. Follow up with a toner to keep your pores small. The smaller they are the harder it is for them to collect dirt and other yucky stuff. Follow up with a lotion that contains an SPF15, like Clean and Clear OIL FREE Oxygenating Ultra Light Moisturizer. The more you dry out your face the oilier it gets, so make sure you use a lotion after scrubbing and minimizing. Do this atleast once a day to start with, see how your skin reacts, then maybe after a week of two, start doing it twice a day.

Hey Neha! I have the same problem. Even though I am a boy but i think i should tell u what i do.
For removing oil from ur face, u should use ACLEAR SOAP. It is being prescribed to me by a skin specialist. Use this soap for atleast one week continuously and then start minimising its use.
I also use ACNESOL on my face. It's a liquid but trust be it's effective.
Avoid any creams, powders, oils on ur face as well as hair.

welcome to puberty! Pimples uh! firstly don't ever try to burst, them you can end up having real ugly scars. secondly, don't ever dare to scrub them, you'll have the same thing. thirdly you can try using Garnier Pure face wash, it was quite effective in my case, you can also use the pimple remover pen...i don't remember exactly the name but it is too a Garnier pure product. fourthly, try applying lemon juice or "chandan" on the affected area. keep it over night then ash your face in the morning. you can also try "steaming" inhaling vapours should help. they open the pores due to wich all the dirt comes out. remember, after steaming don't forget to wash your face with cold water in order to close the pores.
good luck and relax it's a part of growing up!
