Firstfruits is not a plural word. It means, "the first gathered fruit of a harvest" or "the first results of an undertaking." It does not define the length of time that the entire harvest will take. God bless.

The Messiah was YAHOSHUA! He told us not to use heathen names! Don't you think we should be obeying Him? He was the wave sheaf. It was offered after the weekly Sabbath after the Passover. In a sense those who rose with Him are first fruits. The analogy breaks down a bit... Where in the picture do you put Moses? Enoch? Elijah? Yahoshua fulfilled the "types" of the sanctuary service. They were set up to show us what would happen. It was not a totally detailed picture. The resurrection called the First is the resurrection of the Righteous when He returns, and the righteous dead are raised, and the righteous living are changed. The next, or second resurrection is the resurrection of the wicked, 1000 years later.

Friend I will be glad to answer you, Yes when Jesus rose from the dead, He brought with him every rightious soul that was in the paridise part of hell, I am sure you have read about the rich man in torment, & there was a great gulf between Paridise part of hell & the tormenting side of hell, That is why Jesus went into the heart of the earth to preach unto those OT saints, Because all of them Look to one day having a savior to bring them out of the heart of the earth, They all look to calvery as we look back to calvery. Every OT saint was resurrected when Jesus rose from the dead, Yes & there was graves Opened, The 1st resurrection comes in 3 steps, The 1st step is when Jesus brought all those OT saints with him, & the 2nd step is when he comes back for his Bride, & the dead in Christ shall rise first, that completes the 2nd step & the 3rd step is when all those foolish virgins is risen at the end of the great tribulation, Notice they are foolish virgins, They were not part of the BRIDE. But yet they will live in the millennium, only at a lesser part of rulership. That completes the 1st ressurrection & the 2nd resurrection will take place after the Milliennium, That is found in Rev. Chapter 20 This is the resurrection of the wicked to be judged & cast into the lake of fire.

The first ressurrection (of believers) is when Christ returns in power and glory in the heavens to destroy the wicked and reward his saints.
See I Corin 15:52 at the 'last' trump.
See I Thess. 5:16
Revel.20:4-5

Rev.14:1-4 tells us that those who will be in heaven with Christ number 144,000.
These ones are taken from the earth. The anointing of these 'holy ones' began at Pentecost 33CE in the upper room where 120 faithful disciples of Christ were anointed with Holy Spirit.
The final few of this remnant will probably be exalted to immortality shortly after Armageddon.

Keep searching. I'm agnostic, but hope you find your answers. Go to library and research in scholarly books from religious authorities with degrees in the field of biblical archeology and such.
