If he wants life long results.. he can get braces to have his teeth move back together to get rid of the gap. Veneers are a good option because they are a quick fix.. but they dont last forever.. braces.. you have to wear a retainer the first year.. but after that.. he can wear it time to time when he remembers. the retainers.. you really arnt confined to them forever..

This could be due to one of these:
1. Maybe he breathes through his mouth while he sleeps. Believe or not, air going out through the mouth pushes teeth and as teeth are pushed outwards they'll separate from each other increasing the gap between them.
2. Also he may be misspositioning his tongue and he's probably not realized about this. Tongue should rest on the gums, right up and behind the upper frontal teeth. There you'll find like a bump... well, there should be your tongue when you are not talking or even when you swallow.
3. It can also be due to him stucking something between the upper and lower frontal teeth, like a pen, or like his lower lip also.
4. Could also be due to an occlussion problem (the way all the teeth contact when the mouth is closed or when you eat).
Anyway, before trying to close the gap with some sthetic treatment, he should see an orthodontist.

My mother and friend both had that "Madonna" type of huge "drive a truck through it" gap. Veneers worked for them, too, but my friend's fell out (started crumbling) after about 10 years and had to be redone and my mother's also cracked and discoloured terribly. She has had hers redone twice in maybe 15 years.
It does the trick but you may have to get it done. Braces are an option but what no one ever tells is that after braces, you must wear something like a retainer *forever.* Your teeth will move, it's normal.

Braces could restoration that express area, yet what they might finally end up having to do is snip that little piece of gum between the teeth that connects under your suitable lip. it incredibly is a painless technique. The piece of gum that's there is tugging on the area and protecting the gap between the teeth open. each and every so often, they could launch the rigidity the piece of gum (called a frenum) is inflicting for the teeth to close, yet each and every so often braces can do it. provide it time, they're going to address the subject and the gap will close one way or yet another.

A lot of things. But one option, which I took, was to get veneers on my front two teeth. It's been 15 years sofar, and knock on wood- they still look good.
