Can I dissolve nortriptyline capsules?

I have trouble swallowing capsules. Can I dissolve it, or the contents, and then take it?

Not recommended. Capsules contain either some very bitter medicines or some chemicals inside which are very corrosive and hence should go to the stomach directly. So, better swallow the capsule along with some water, milk or juice. Ask your doctor whether any other more palatable form is available.

You can mix it in something like applesauce & consume it .
