If I remember right that's actually the last time France WON...... I think they got a nice chunk of Germany and what would later become Nam, and some other stuff. Hitler used that for all sorts of Nazi propaganda against France.

So France has been on about a 90-year losing streak since WWI... that might explain why they're always such pu$$ies. Curse of the Bambino dude.

Its amazing how when you travel and meet French women lets say, anywhere around the world they almost fall over with gratitude if your Australian but the moment you'r in Paris its the opposite ! So yeh world wide respect is what they lost !

They lost their ability to convince the rest of the world of their power and might. They demonstrated to all that they cannot defend their own and have to rely on the stronger Nations to liberate them. Pride is the biggest thing they lost in the eyes of the world.
