Did anyone try the race view yesterday during the 150s? I have already purchased it about a week ago. Its pretty cool I guess I just wanted to know what everyone else thought of it. I am also thinking they will fine tune it for sunday. I guess the best thing about it is when the TV cuts out for all its advertisements, you can just watch it on your computer... any everyone knows the advertisements are getting out of control!!!

So any problems with it by anyone else? My only problem was it ran to slow in Internet Explorer, but in Firefox I couldnt hear the race scanner... so I opened Explorer for the scanner part and opened firefox for the raceview part... it ran good in Firefox...

Why not just pay for the online stuff rather than Direct tv stuff???

I would never pay for it again, I used it 2 years ago and liked it but now you have to pay for each feature you want to use.
I did use the free features during the Gatorade 150's and I liked the fact that it was in real time not on the tv delay.

I tried it for the Duels, then upgraded my account (already have Pitcommand). Other then some slow downs using Internet Explorer, I experienced the same "technical difficulties" that Pitcommand has from time to time. During the Duels the scoreboard was incorrect, and about a half hour into the 500 the video went blank, and it scrolled a message saying that there was a conflict with other satellite equipment at the track. This is also about the time that my PC came to a crawl and Explorer stopped responding. I closed everything and restarted Raceview and about an hour later it came back, but some driver's telemetry was still unavailable. I personally think they should reimburse us for these outages, but I guess they are still fine tuning it. I'll try Mozilla next time and see if I experience the same slowdown. All in all it's still pretty neat. I was comparing it to the TV broadcast and they were near identical as far as there being any delay.

I've had since it started and even though it's got a few second delay it's a good thing. I run all mine though Java and I don't have a problem with it lagging. As for the Direct TV thing I have cable but they have somehing simliar but I don't want to just follow my driver the whole race. I guess that's why I like Trackpass. You can jump here and there and not miss a beat!

I tried the race view feature during the 150s since it was free and I have decided it's a waste of money. It looks like a cheap video game, that kept freezing when I tried to change the view and I could not get the audio to work at all. I'll stick with the pitcommand feature, it's cheaper, the program doesn't freeze and the audio works most of the time.

Awesome!
I like how we are in real time now and not delayed.
The scanner is great when following your driver and the stuff you hear thats not heard on tv!
If you never tried it, it is a must for every racing fan at least once!

I'm exploring that idea. I think I'll go for the $30 package this year to see how it is then next year go for that $60-some package.
