Asalam Alaykum I have always wore hijab bc this is something that Allah demands of me. I never understand why so many sister speak about Islam but yet they do not cover? And then they say their not ready. What do people need to be ready for? All we should fear is Allah not people this confuses me. It confuses me when I see Muslimahs who are sacred and should be pious women but yet they spread their face and pictures all over the internet for non mahram men and people to see. When will they open their eyes to what Islam really is?

They do not do it simply because they are not REALLY TRUE BELIEVERS...Otherwise they would have worn it...

This is a big problem...

They know it is wrong...and still they do it...
They know they will be asked about it...and they still do it...
They wish they were able to do it,and dream about doing it, but still they keep postponing it for the days yet to come...

Nowadays, we all regard life with narrow eyes & short sightedness all the time...

Girls like to LOOK ATTRACTIVE...BEAUTIFUL....LIKE OTHERS AROUND HER OF MUSLIM & NON MUSLIM GIRLS...

If Muslim Gals think for a little about DEATH and how sudden it could get & how unpredictabely it could happen to any of them just like any of us all over the world, they would have taken a precautionary step and gotten prepared for a moment as such...

The problem is....LOTS & LOTS of Muslim Gals act like non muslims in many other criterias beside hijaab...

Not only gals....Guys are included as well...and in many endless observations over things they DO & SAY...On certain issues Muslim guys are far much worse than girls in what they do...

How about your eye brows yourself.....Do you have any idea how it is regarded to remove eye brows...!!!

We are lost in many things in our lives, and if we do not mean to read & learn more with the days, then we are not to blame anyone aside from ourselves but ourselves...

He / she who need to remember & consider should visit the dead in simitaries every now & then just to imagine where we will shortly be...and better for all of us to be prepared for that day & that long trip...

I don't understand that either. I wear hijab as well and plan on wearing niqab and abaya along with hijab when I get the money to buy them because I actually follow the Hadiths and fear ALLAH. I will also make sure my daughters wear niqab and abaya as well. I only hope the Muslimahs who don't follow the Hadiths including the one that says all believing Muslim women and girls are to cover EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE EYES wake up before it is too late for them.

HIJAB POEM

I am a Muslim woman

by Jenn Zaghloul

I am a Muslim woman
Feel free to ask me why
When I walk,
I walk with dignity
When I speak
I do not lie

I am a Muslim woman
Not all of me you'll see
But what you should appreciate
Is that the choice I make is free

I'm not plagued with depression
I'm neither cheated nor abused
I don't envy other women
And I'm certainly not confused

Note, I speak perfect English
Et un petit peu de Francais aussi
I'm majoring in Linguistics
So you need not speak slowly

I run my own small business
Every cent I earn is mine
I drive my Chevy to school & work
And no, that's not a crime!

You often stare as I walk by
You don't understand my veil
But peace and power I have found
As I am equal to any male!

I am a Muslim woman
So please don't pity me
For God has guided me to truth
And now I'm finally free!

Women don't need to cover themselves up. If they don't want to they don't have to I am so sick of people using religion as a reason to oppress women. No I am not of your faith but I am a women and as such feel that I can safely say it is utter rubbish.

If someone wants to wear a hijab they should be able to do so without fear of criticism, equally if someone doesn't they to should be able to.

Get a grip and stop trying to force your lame beliefs on other people. If my God "demanded" I do something as pathetic as that than quite frankly I would rather go to hell because he doesn't seem overly logical anyway.

When you say some Muslimahs speak of Islam yet don't cover, do you mean cover their hair or their body?

I am a Muslim woman and when I go outside I cover myself in a respectable manner, but not always in wearing the abaya, if I don't wear the abaya then I wear loose fitting clothing that covers.
But as far as the hijab goes please do not mis inform people by telling them that "Allah demands this of you". that is a lie. Please re-read the Quran and tell me where Allah DEMANDS that you cover you hair. All he says is to cover your body in a respectable way. Neither did Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) DEMAND this of his woman followers.

I agree that we should only fear Allah, but please don't put down your Muslim sisters that don't wear Hijab. It is not right what you are saying. I also agree they shouldn't be putting their pictures for men to see...

This statement really touched me. I am a Muslimah and I haven't been covering my head. I was always nervous and I don't think I'm putting it on right. However, your right in that we should only fear Allah. Thank you sister. Allah bless you.

Allah demands of you? can't you see what you have made your self a slave to? The true God is Yahweh who is a God of love and does not put demands on you or fears in your heart or threaten you. Yahweh saw our need and sent His one and only son to give us life, life eternal for those that accept Him as Lord and Saviour. He is the only one that conquered death and the only one that can promise you eternal life. Search out the history of "allah" and you will see it comes from pagan worshipping the moon. Muhammed came 600 years after Christ and tried to claim to be a prophet , take a look at His life style and tell me he was a prophet of God , no way. God tells us in the Bible His word cannot be added to nor taken away from it is complete. Muhammed after the fact wrote his works and tried to make them authentic by adding in some of the characters from God's Word, did'nt work.Muhammed lived a less than holy life. His lust for sex, his affairs with his maids and slave girls, his pedophilic relationship with Aisha a 9 year old child at the age of 53, his killing sprees, his massacre and the genocide of the jews, his slave making and trading, his assassination of his opponents, his raids and lootings of the merchant caravans, his burning of the palm plantations, his destroying the water wells, his cursing and invoking evil on his enemies and his revenge on his captured prisoners of war disqualify him as a decent human being let alone the messenger of God. An unbiased study of the Quaran shows that far from being a "miracle " the book is a hoax. Once the Quaran is scrutinized with rational thinking , almost every sentence proves to be false. Quaran is replete with scientific heresies, historic blunders, mathematical mistakes, logical absurdities and grammatical errors. Could possibly the author of the Universe be as ignorant as it appears to be in Quaran? The last half of this paragraph is borrowed from a fellow member, full credit to him for doing his homework. Search out for truth, you are putting your life on the line, no room for mistakes!

my question to you is this; are you any better than those sisters who dont cover or do you secretly envy them that bit of freedom? i have seen some moslem sisters who's avatars reflect their leaning (their heads are covered), yours is not. i'm sure it's not because you cant find the headgear, is it that you secretly crave that freedom too and are therefore living vicariously through your avatar? search yourself before you attack others will you? it's the little things that show who you really are behind the exterior that you present. besides, in my opinion, salvation is of the heart.

There are lots of "Muslims" that are Muslims today because of the society that they were born into, so they do things (and not do others) without knowing much about them, and because they were taught that way -- without reason or understanding. The wake-up call is yet to come, unfortunately.
