my current and past girlfriends all say i can be over confident, i try to speak my mind and try not to tell lies as i feel they are a waste of time. I'm sure they can't be wrong if they all say it but do i just shut up and be a different person surely that cannot be right

no, they are just jealous of you. You are a great person for being able to be confident and speak your mind. trust me, i want to be like that.
being yourself is your best outfit. if someone can't accept you for who you are, they have not accepted themselves yet.
