My sinuses are totally plugged up and I can only breathe through my mouth. My chest feels like a Simi truck is parked on it and I have a cough that is nearly constant. My fever is hitting around 105 and I’m delirious according to my wife. She wants me to go immediately to a doctor but I don’t want to go because I don’t feel like getting ready for it. Seriously it will pass on it’s own will it not? Do I have to spend the money on a doctor to tell me what I already know? Oh me!

Well, I'm a nurse, too, but I say you should go to the doctor if your temp is that high and accompanied by the chest discomfort. You need a chest x-ray.You might have pneumonia, and yes certain untreated pneumonias still kill people these days.
I had it once myself and was in the hospital 10 days, very ill. However, I was so sick I would not have been playing around on the computer! So, maybe you're not quite that sick..yet!

You have me worried with the high fever part. Fever is good, but, not if it has been that high for awhile now.
You should really go to a hospital or at least your doctor for a check-up.
If you said you only had the sinus and chest infection then I would say that it would pass eventually on it's own.
If you absolutely refuse to go to a doctor then remember to drink PLENTY of fluids. Inhaling the steam of a pot of boiled water with a pinch of salt in it should help a lot as well.
I hope you feel better soon.
P.S. If you feel so horrible than why are you on the computer and not in bed?

I'm a nurse. You could have a virus and there is no treatment for it. However you can take OTC medication to relieve some discomfort. I would try Tylenol, ibuprofen, halls, allergy medication, and some rest. If you are not feeling better let's say in a couple of days, you then need an antibiotic and need a prescription from a doctor. Generic medication works just as good. You can take the Tylenol and the ibuprofen interchanging for your symptoms. I hope this information helped you. Take care

sounds like this is an emergency! There are too many symptoms to assume it is the flu, especially with the meds you are on and your health history. You should go to the ER! Your life is worth more than your work and they WILL live without you and everyone will understand and if they don't you should find a new job with better people to be around. You are too sick to wait another day!

Go to the hospital. It sounds really serious. My father always put off going to the hospital, even when he was really sick like this and he ended up dying. It makes me very angry when very sick people say, just let it pass, because it doesn't always pass. Be respectful of your wife and her judgement, she can see how bad you are. Get help, NOW!!!

Sounds like flue symptoms. If I were you I'd see a Doctor to be sure, or go to the hospital emergency.

Anyone who is an adult and has temperature above 101, should go to the doctor immediately. You can cause damage to your organs and body with a temperature that high. Please rush to the hospital or doctor !!!!
