Be honest with him that you are only interested in him as a friend. It may hurt him but honesty is always the best thing you can do for someone.

Sit besides him make him understand that u are not fond of him and u r graduating and going away.Be very friendly to him at that time.Say sorry to him very emotionally and leave.

if you don't want to keep in contact with someone. it is like wasting a friendship and time.
it really isn't nice to not want to keep in contact with someone.
when you get older, you'll regret it because I know from the people I talked to that they don't know what happened to ANY of their highschool friends.
Appreciate him and keep in touch with everyone you know... friends are good for you.
