There are no lockout hubs on the wheels.

this is also a 5 speed man. trans. I have tried putting in N. and no luck I tried holding the cluch in but still no 4 wheel drive.

Thanks guys for your answers. I found the problem. The problem was a bad vac. line that kept the 4 wheel drive pump from working.

1995 is old enough that you will need to lock in your front hubs,they will have a locking devise on them that says locked or unlocked,turn them to lock,start your vehicle,put it in neutral,then shift to 4 wheel drive.

If there is a lever for 4 wheel drive, you most likely have to come to a stop and then shift into 4 wheel Hi.
If you want 4 wheel Lo (NOT for high speed driving), come to a stop, put the transmission in neutral, then shift into 4 wheel Lo.

next to the gear stick is another gearstick, a smaller one, turn your engine off put the car in park/neutral, push the small gearstick up and to the left, turn the car back on, a light has turned on, showing 4 wheels, voila!

I own a 92 automatic and there is a button on the middle of the console.
