It is natural for this to happen. Many times we will lose motivation simply because we are bored. (Literaly, feed up. Sorry could not help myself).

There are many things you can do. See if one of the following works for you:

1) Vary your menus. There are a lot of healthy foods and ways to prepared them.
Have you been experimenting and trying new things latley?
Is eating and cooking fun? Try to make it an adventure every once in a while. Just changing menus or trying different things, or cooking differently will add variety to what you eat.
Also, watch what you buy!

2) Give yourself planed breaks from any diet:
Say Saturday is day of! I will not eat like a pig, but I will give myself some free time and enjoy some of the things I crave for. It is a price for a good week of healthy eating, it is something to look forward to the rest of the week. If you are careful, you might have Saturday and Sunday too.

3) Do not get to obses with what you eat.
Just eat healthy and for fun, keep it simple and enjoy. Nothing more to it. (it is a mental attitude)

4) Talk to yourself:
Envision yourself this spring (just around the corner), and this comming summer. Look at yourself the way you want to be. See how your eating ( and exercise) habits are getting you there!
Compare that to a posible "old" you that was not as trimm and fit as you are or could be.
See other people that are just eating what they should not and how this has afectted them, you do not want to be like that; sick, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, joint problems, etc. etc.

5) Ask yourself:
Why am I eating healthy?
Why do I want a healthy life, to be fit, so be alright?
The answer to those questions could be your motivation engines.

6) Be happy with yourself and do not be to hard on you:
If sometimes you break your good eating habits is not the end of everything. You are here for the long run, just regain your confidence and get back on trak, period.
You know you can work those extra fatty calories off! (The penitence for our bad eating sins, ha ha, ha).

Take it easy and enjoy life and your healthy food.

The problem with eating healthy is that it's usually much harder work than eating junk. The best way to keep on track with diet and fitness is to keep things around you that reminded you why you started in the first place. For me it was so i could play american football so now I always try to keep my helmet in a place where I'll see it often, it helps to motivate me to get down to the gym on the days when I can't really be bothered.

At the beginning of this year I decided I wanted to loose at least 25 pounds. I took off the first 10 pounds on my own, just cutting back on my portions and starting to exercise. I couldn't seem to get any more weight off on my own, so I joined Weight Watchers. I love the program because it isn't a diet. It's a lifestyle change, and for me it was so easy to stick to. I've lost the additional 15 pounds, and I've decided to loose just a few more. The meetings keep me motivated to exercise and eat healthfully. I exercise every day now, usually about 45 minutes of aerobics, and I switch off for toning my core a couple of times a week. I wish you success. I feel like the "old me", with so much energy and enthusiasm for life.

If you have a mate you could eat healthily with it will make it easier. You can encourage and support each other to stay on track.
Also, keep changing your healthy foods so that you don't become bored of what you are eating.
Good Luck!

You just have have your spirit lifted. Listen to a song that makes you happy and want to do something productive.

Just make a short goal. Everyday once you wake up tell yourself that you are going to eat healthy today. The next day do the same. Which is way better than saying "I am going to eat healthy for a month" because everyday you remind yourself and have a goal.

You have to have self-discipline and focus yourself to achieve your goals!

find a picture of yourself, i.e. what you may have looked like in the past or what you wish to look like again, stick it on fridge door!
also keep reminding yourself of how well your doing, it takes alot to change lifestyles, and changing the way you eat is a massive step to take.
well done for doing this, keep your chin up hun

think about what is more important to you.. looking good, feeling healthy.. or a ____?.. also, allow yourself to eat something un-healthy once in awhile, but plan on doing it.. don't make it an impulsive decision.. and don't beat yourself up if you slip
