Okay i know it take about two weeks for your income tax refund to get back to u, but when u have it put in to your checking account do it usually be in your account that morning or later that night, because im still waiting on mine and it has been two weeks and i heard that the IRS put it in your account on Fridays.

ACH transmittals are usually run overnight. Each bank has its own verification and posting procedures though in most cases the funds are available at the beginning of the banking day following receipt of the transmittal. A few very small banks and credit unions still do manual postings and those may take an extra banking day or so to show up in your account.

I efiled on 2/1 and received my refund today, 2/16. They deposited it early this morning and the funds are available for immediate withdrawal....at least at my bank they are. You are right, the IRS does deposits only on Fridays. Sorry yours is taking so long~~~

Some banks will hold the direct deposit for 2-3 buisness days, they will tell you they did not recieve the deposit but they have it.
