No keep at it!! I always put my son (now 3) to bed by 7pm from being a baby, to get him used to it, and now I feel so lucky he is in that routine and prepared for nursery etc. in future. I know a lot of parents who let their babies stay up with them til 10, and have a lie-in, which they thought nice. But then, when they started nursery or school, they had a nightmare getting them to bed early enough so not tired when had to get up at 7am next day for nursery/school!! Besides, you need adult time, you're a better parent if you have time to yourself on an evening, can give more quality time to them rather than being worn out.

Make him to take a nap in the middle of the day and bed time will be around 8-9pm. But I don't think you have to worry about it.
Every child has a different need for sleep. Babies grow when they sleep and if your baby need more hours to sleep it's purfectly fine.
Look at the bright side of it: you have some time for yourself, do house work, get some sleep, etc. My son didn't want to take any naps during the day and his sleep hours wore just 6-7 hours a night.
I hope this will help. :) Good luck

That sounds okay. My 10 month old gets up at 6:30am (before I go to work) and she does not go to bed til 8pm. she takes 2 hours worth of naps each day....sometimes 2 short naps and sometimes 1 longer nap each day.

Seems a little to early for me. It's good to have a routine and get good sleep but 11 1/2 hours of sleep seems a bit much.

I have a 19 month old and i wish he were on a schedule like that, he goes to bed/sleep when he wants, and wakes up when he wants. I guess since i work from 6pm to 6am and his mom lets him do what he wants it's that way, guess if i were a stay at home dad i could have more to say about when he's up and when he's sleep.

Have a matching subject with our 2-year previous. We initially enable her stay wakeful previous due via fact her dad left previous due interior the morning and labored till 9, so this gave the two one in all them greater time interior the evening. yet she's a happier camper interior the morning and that i elect to have the potential to place her to mattress and nonetheless have it sluggish for myself, husband or older youngsters interior the evening. We began via waking her up artificially early, in simple terms via an hour. I stored her very busy (she would not flow to day care) at abode, doing new stuff, going places, and so on. Naptime then, became an hour earlier, and mattress time an hour earlier. We moved the morning recurring up yet another hour each week after than and at the instant are getting her to mattress around 9 and she or he sleeps till 8:30 a.m. now. After staring at her organic rhythms for a pair weeks that's what we got here up with. i individually have been feeling like her time table became non-existent and erratic at appropriate, yet after paying interest, i spotted that she became ripe and arranged for naptime 5 hours after waking up interior the a.m., and that she became showing obtrusive indicators of needing to flow to mattress greater or less 6 hours after waking up from her nap. And it did no longer rely if she had a a million-hour nap or a three-hour nap, six hours and she or he became waiting for mattress. (She is an rather energetic little lady, no longer very susceptible to go with lots sleep it seems.)

It sounds like a normal time to me, However because I like to sleep in, we have tried to make it so our daughter gets up later. She is now nearly 3 years old and children of your sons age do still need a lot of sleep.

As long as he is feeding well and is healthy, be happy you have a good sleeper. Our daughter was fairly similar (7pm-8am) and she is fine. Some babies have their parents up and down all night, we're just the lucky ones.
