Normally during an intercourse there is a tie between the male and female dogs. The males have a bulb at the base of their genital, which gets swollen due to excitement. During the intercourse the dog ejaculates four times. First immediately after penetartion then twice during the tie and lastly at the time of withdrawal. Penetration itself is enough to make the female concieve, a tie enhances the chances.

female dogs have sex only twice in a year, pls let them stick around and dont disturb. i have seen many people disturbing them, throwing stones on them . pls dont do that pls.....
it is their anatomy of the genitals that makes them fix. certainly the male penis has a bulb at the base in spite of that dogs have a BONE in their penis known a ospenis. during the turn the male dogs make when they face in the opposite direction the Bone structure gets inverted. and the female has the choice to loose her sphincter's and allow the male dog to be free. that's it so pls dont disturb them from now onwards.....pls....

The penis of the male dog swells during sex which makes it impossible for him to leave the female body without fully ejaculate first. In that last face of ejaculation the dog produces fluids from the prostate which helps to forward the sperm in the female genitals and kinda "seals" of the exit so that the sperm will stay in the birth canal of the female.

It isnt anything to do with them bonding. It is the fact that the female's vagina contracts so much during sex that the dog cant exit her, if he tried he would tear hhis penile skin off and be badly injured. until the female relaxes and lets him go free they are stuck together.

It's the knot on the male genitals. It's to hold them together as the male usually ejaculates for 10-20 minutes.

the reason they get stuck together is because the males legs lock around the female that is the reason and this is because he is putting so much effort in to it his body locks up
