What sources can I use to save energy? e.g. cooking,lighting the house?

Is just that may be if there is some sources that can save energy apart from the sources like solar for instance.

For cooking, use convection oven, pressure cooker, microwave, Natural gas instead of electricity for the burners.Cook larger portions and refrigerate the extra for mirowaving later.
