like they tell all about their sex lives and other personal stuff on TV, on the Net, the Radio and so on...what makes Americans such an open people (of course I am generalizing)

I do not know what your perspective is but I would gather it is not European. Americans actually have rarher puritanistic ideas about sex while in Europe they consider it... natural. Now if you come from the Middle East, you probably think that Americans are "open" as you mention. Take a look at Thai temple sculptures, or Ja[panese phalic festivals and you realize that Americans are really shy and protective of their sex lives.

The british are well known for having a stiff upper lip. We dont talk about sex or anything personal because it was believed that revealling too much about your person life would be the downfall of you. British people are supposed to be reserved and calm and not talk about embaressing things.
Our europian neighbours are more like the americans. Open about their personal lives.
Unfortunatly I dont think Britain will be changing it's ways anytime soon!

well you have to understand a couple of things. To get here, our for fathers, were either crimals, or adventurers so we have learned to take a chance, same for down under, they have the same kinda things.

because they stuck up and think that everyone else is interesting in there business.
some arent like that but most americas that i've met have been complete jerks.
