Yoga or pilates, they start out light and you can go forward as you shape up and become more flexible. Look for tapes, beginners at first then move on up. they have them at many price levels so research the costs and buy the cheapest DVD or VCR to start. You don't need classes unless it is the only way you can get motivated. Good luck.

You will love this, hop on the treadmill, blast your ipod to the funkiest music and then power walk as your body moves to the music. Salsa is really good as you actually involuntarily twist your body side to side, it's almost like you are dancing. It's loads of fun, and almost effortless - yet you whittle your waist down.
(I am actually a girl, but this stupid picture of mine depicts me as a man - don't know how to change it).
Finally grab a couple of weights in your hand as you do it, for extra added strength - just don't knock anybody out!

Swimming and walking. Get yourself a pedometre and see how many steps a day you do, set yourself different challenges. Swimming is great exercise for the whole body!
