Just took out some car insurance with swiftcover.com - the company with NO call centers. When I log in to an online portal it appears I have just a quote and not a policy even tho they have take out an initial payment from my bank account (I'm paying monthly installments - one deposit and 10 installments). Have sent two emails yesterday and no reply what do you think I should do?

Has anybody had trouble with them in the past?

Swiftcover.com is NOT an insurance company - they are an insurance AGENCY. So unless they let you print out a "binder" or "proof of insurance" while you were tooling around on the site, you are NOT insured yet.

They place coverage through TWO different insurance companies - AXA (who has frequent complaints on this board) and INternational Insurance of NV. I couldn't locate the second on AM Best, and the first, well, I wouldn't use them.

I really hope you're not in the US.

Are you sure that this place is going to cover you the way that you think they will in case of an accident? Insurance companies can get grey areas and this one you don't have anyone to come back on except for email. Do you know that they are a legit company?

Does this company have any offices anywhere that you can visit?

I recently bought from swiftcover car insurance and all worked perfectly. I am sure it is just a glitch with their system. I know they are not open 24 hours but they do have a help line as well. It's 0870 484 0100. I have friends who have renewed with swiftcover.com so you can trust them as far as I can tell.
