I find myself often in the situation that at night - while sleeping - that i will wake up to fin dthat all of the blood in one of my arms has gone.
A simlar siuation to if i had toreque'd it or lay on it to stop the blood. But the arm is not tapped in any such way and is often the arm on the top (if lying on my side). This can happen up to 3 times in a night and is not always the same arm.

Can someone give any suggestions, it's starting to worry me, but i don't have any other symptoms that i'm aware of.
i'm a relatively fit female in early 20s, not overweight with no known medical conditions...

regards r

I think you are describing carpal tunnel syndrome. Have a look at this leaflet paying particular attention to the distribution of your symptoms. If you have this then the problem is not blood loss it is actually nerve compression

I experenence something similar.
While I'm sleeping, I put my arm (or leg) in a wrong position, so when I wake up it feels asleep. However, it's not (in my case). What I do is actually pince the nerve. It then goes dormant. When I wake and move it, the feeling can come back slowly- quite differennt it going asleep once you learn the difference.

If it's the nerves, try a thermopedic pillow. Try more or less pillows. Try a massage before going to bed. All these have helped me a lot.

when this happens next, stop and make a mental picture of your posture, arms, legs, etc. to see if there's a pattern.

good luck

once you sleep on your arm blood can not attain your arm because you're reducing circulation. attempt sleepign on your again quite of on your aspect, or attempt to substantiate you're not any further mendacity on your fingers. It occurs to me each and each and every of the time. To eliminate the numb feeling, hand your arm over the mattress downwards so blood can attain it more beneficial rapidly. That and rubbing your arm can help.

I think you need to see a doctor about small blood veins in your arms and them getting compromised when you sleep giving you that feeling that you have blood loss in your arms.
