"Science, in constantly seeking real explanations, reveals the true majesty of our world in all its complexity."
Cosmic brownie points if you know who said it.

Just Ask Ashley: Was that a sincere answer? Science is working on each of those things you mentioned. I don't know what religion is doing beyond forcing religion upon starving people in exchange for giving them food.
I've seen your replies before and you seem intelligent. You're not serious are you?

Richard Dawkins, now where's my cookie?
All science does is lead to more questions.

Clinton Richard Dawkins (born March 26, 1941) is a British ethologist, evolutionary biologist and popular science writer who holds the Charles Simonyi Chair for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University.
Dawkins first came to prominence with his 1976 book The Selfish Gene, which popularised the gene-centered view of evolution and introduced the term meme into the lexicon, helping found memetics. In 1982, he made a major contribution to the science of evolution with the theory, presented in his widely cited book The Extended Phenotype, that phenotypic effects are not limited to an organism's body but can stretch far into the environment, including into the bodies of other organisms. He has since written several best-selling popular books, and appeared in a number of television and radio programmes, concerning evolutionary biology, creationism, and religion.
Dawkins is an outspoken atheist, humanist, and sceptic, and is a prominent member of the Brights movement.

Richard Dawkins’ vitriolic attack on religion (and biblical Christianity in particular) is the frantic thrashings of a very worried man. His attempt to demolish what he sees as anti-rational faith was spectacularly contradicted in his opening words where Dawkins unwittingly shows that faith must come first:
Then we find that science is an on-going progressive enterprise:
“Science in constantly seeking real explanations reveals the true majesty of our world in all its complexity.”

I'd guess Carl Sagan.
The Demon-haunted World is one of my favourite books.
*Dawkins, was it? Well I think he's too angry to reveal the 'majesty of the world' the way Sagan did.*

I'd like to add that religion leads to salvation. and about science I'd like to see what you have in store for an argument against God. I've just spent several months using science to better enforce proof of God.

Science can't explain why I have epilepsy, why my mother died of ovarian cancer, nor can science cure dementia, AIDS or relieve world hunger.
Explain that Mr. Science Worshipper.
**I did not even mention religion. You did.
Science will NEVER cure dementia because cellular regeneration under the synaptic nerve function of the central nervous system and deconstruction of the frontal lobes after the cortexual receptors die can not *magically* (ie scientifically) come back to life. Ditto AIDS.
Epilepsy's origins have never been explained despite epilepsy being known since the days of Julius Caesar. You'd think scientists would have been able to dissect the anatomy of epilepsy by now but they haven't.
