i want to lose weight and i want to know if jumping rope everyday will do any good. if so, how often and how long should i do it?

I tried that skipping rope or jumping rope before and really showed progress in reducing weight after three months. I started with 10 jumps in the first day, 50 in the next 5 days, 100 in the next week until it reach a point of 2,600 jumps which you can watch the scales deducting one half pound a day. It was inspiring not to over eat since you can really see by yourself the results.
However, ask first your family doctor if it is right for you physically and have a balanced diet. Remember to take plenty of fluids like water 10 to 12 glasses a day. One respondent claimed that drinking plenty of water is bad for health, well he might be right if the person refuses to urinate and find ways to not sweat. Water relenishes the fluids you loose in your body when you exercise. It also makes you go to the jon or move your vowels daily. Good 8 hours sleep, right food, right amount of water, right exercise and daily bowel movement will give you smooth skin free of pimples and a kissable body free from obnoxious odors.
It was convenient for me to skip or jump inside our residence specially at that time I lived in a heighborhood where if you jog or run, dogs or crazy guys run after you or even rain stones from thrown rocks by people in hiding along seldom busy streets.

Jumping rope is one of the most intensive exercises....

1. Good for your endurance
2. If you bend your knees a little it's very good for you upper legs.
and YES it's excellent for losing weight.

It depends how good you are on it, but start with 30 min. every other day.

The best is not to leave a long time between the exercises for example 1 day a hour and 1 week nothing. Regularity is the key and your body will start burning fat after 30 min. exercise.

It is great for cardio fitness and endurance. As long as you can push yourself for, once a day.
