The reason I ask is because I am a Diesel mechanic, and most of the guys I work with that are my age (early 20s) are single. Besides, I cannot find a decent girl who will stick around when the title Diesel mechanic is pronounced. I don't understand.

In my opinion i think it's not what you do for a living, but the confidence in which you carry whilst doing it...
Most of the guys you work with that are your age (early 20s) are single because they are in their early 20's, not because of what they do for a living.
Be proud of what you do, carry your head high and girls will be attracted to your personality and confidence. If they're not, -stuff 'em..-they're not the ones you're looking for anyway..

You are at a bad age for dating. Girls that are 17 and 18
are looking for a guy that is 21 to 23. I am sure you do not want to cruise the local high school.
Girls that are 21 and 23 are looking for men 27 to thirty that are established.
My advise is lie about your age.............

wow. are you serious? that's so shallow. my b/f is a facilities worker and I think blue collar men are sexy cause they work with their hands and aren't afraid of hard work. most of the women I know don't hold this against a man at all. I think most women are happy to meet a man with a job period anymore.lol. I wonder where u live...cuz I don't know this to be true amongst my friends at all.

I was once told that they are boring, stiff and monotonous! May be those are the reasons. I don't know. Check it for youself.
