This morning I have had a sharp shooting pain in my left lower back, behind the rib cage. They have only lasted a few seconds each, and it's happened twice. Both times it's happened when I've breathed in, the pain has eased when I breathed out, but shot back again on the next in-breath. Any ideas?

This sounds like a condition I have called costochondritis which is an inflammatory condition of the cartillage around the ribcage. And it can cause sharp pains to occur as well as cause people to think that they are having a heart attack when it's not. It's very common in women.

Pls get this checked out by a dr to make sure nothing more serious is going on.

This could be because of muscle fatigue or dehydration. Try exercising all parts of your body. It also sometimes is due to disuse atrophy. Consult a doctor if it persists. You can also look for information in the web. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html
