my mother is a widow of a late retired fci staff is she eligible for pension?

my father retired in the year 1990 and expired in the year 1991, my mother does not get any pension she got all other benefits, she has three children one daughter and two sons, looked after by her daughter and son in law, thrown out of her elder sons house by her daughter in law, youger son business loss looking for a job not in a financial position to help, daughter in law like elder one, youger son has the willness to look after his mother, no problem with daughter but financialy very poor, so mother would like to have an income of her own 65 years old medical bill more than 800/- monthly. can someone advice as to what can be done to help her, she does not want to file case against her sons, mothers heart speaks there. can somebody help to solve her problem.

if you are in the usa please contact your local office for the aging, there is one in every county of the country. They will be able to help her and may even have free or low cost legal advice for her. good luck

You are right, sometimes straightaway legal actions donot yield any purposeful result IN TIME. This also involves lengthy court proceedings full of heavy expenditure and time/energy. The second son is financially weak. Your own family has also got limitations. But no other practical wayout should be left unattempted to give relief to old lady.

Moral pressure through relatives can also be put on son. Divine help should also be sought by family members with rquest to God to give sadbudhi to defaulting son.
What I feel interalia you please take two steps.:

(i) Seek guidance/help from Union/Association of office of FCI where your father worked.If you people are out of touch from them, there are some chances that they, at present may be having some scheme to help widow of deceased.

(ii) In most of the states, respective governments are having schemes of old-age pension to seniorcitizen who are without any support. At least,Delhi and MP are definitely having such scheme. Please ascertain the details of such schemes locally. She will start getting a small pension at least. In case it is possible, please let me know in which town you are - by email.

Last but not the least, divine help will definitely get rid of financial and other hardships. You please pray.I also pray God for your family.

hi, i don't no who are you but i will say one word if you want todo any good deed you shouldnot afraid to anyone. Remember relegious book Geeta it say's about Arjuna how he fights with their relatives and kill all of them only because of his rights and property. if it is something yours you should not leave it .So if you can file case you should and don,t think you can,t do anythhing alone if you have determination you can do and last i can help you in this matter.i think god will help them those who help themselves.
