As already mentioned, it depends on the format the CCTV footage was recorded in on the CD.
In most cases, when a CCTV recorder transfers video on to a disc, it uses its own format. The CCTV recorder would either record playback software onto the CD, or it will require playback software from the manufacturer in order to view the footage.
Find out who is the manufacturer of recorder that made the disk. Go to the manufacturers website and look for software downoads.

It all depends what format the download is it, you might need to download a codec for windows media player.

depends on what format the video is saved in.
goto www.free-codecs.com to find the audio and codecs you will need. you could install k-lite codec pack from there, but i don't usually use it. as Xvid and ac3 is usually sufficient. but as you don't mention the video type k-lite will do the trick.
