Great question... Apparently having a car an inch lower to the ground is not an aerodynamic advantage. So I suppose having tape on the inside of your vehicle is? NASCAR is obvious in their favortism. If it was a lesser known driver we all know NASCAR would have ejected crew chiefs, docked 50 points and fined 50,000 for actions detrimental to the sport of NASCAR. So what is funnier about the whole situation the team gets to keep the Victory, but yet NASCAR still sends him to the back of the field leaving me this question? If it is not that bad of an infraction to get docked points, and fines, why make him start in the back?

Well, once again we see who the favored ones are with NASCAR..I am still mad about the 48 team cheating last year and now this. Johnson should have lost at least 50 points for his infraction last year. And if you think this "little" infraction was not intentional then you are just eat up with Gordon and can't see any fault in anything he or his team does.
I remember 2 years ago when Jr. won a race and said on camera "this is some good s**t". He not only got fined but lost points as well.
As much money as these people have the fines mean nothing. It is the points that count. I guarantee you if NASCAR would start taking team points from the Hendrick teams just like all the others Rick Hendrick would make sure that this comes to a stop.
I think that it is time NASCAR starts to treat everyone the same and quits playing favorites with Hendrick Motors.
But that is only my opinion and of course my husband being a 24 and 48 fan has a different opinion. Go 8 and 20!!!

The in question violation on Gordons car appears to be an alignment error by a mechanic in a hurry. The shocks are mounted in the inspection area in front of NASCAR officials. It is possible that in the rush to put the part on it was placed in the wrong area.
If it was intentional the it was ok'd by NASCAR since it was a witnessed thing.

Jeff Gordon's car situation was actually really dangerous...it wasn't like this in prerace inspection...and surely there wasn't enough time in a pit stop to make the car an inch lower...it was an error by a mechanic...those things happen...

It is pretty fishy. The Gordon thing I guess I understand. Seems like it was just chance. Of course so could have Kenseth's violation. The Johnson violation was just horrible. I guess they could say they're just cracking down more this year. But Johnson's violation was pretty severe, and if they cracked down on him like they did everyone just now. Kenseth would be the champ. Just makes me hate Hendricks more.

Didn't you know that Hendrick drivers are unable to have points deducted. They can be fined and have their crew chiefs suspended for races but points are NEVER taken away. But this only applies to Hendrick drivers. For example---> Remember when Jeff started a fight with Matt Jr gets excited and lets a "****" loose and they rape him of points.

Obviously they aren't learning anything and need to give out harsher punishments to try and stop all the cheating. If the drivers and crew chiefs aren't carefull pretty soon NASCAR will start taking away the chance to even race if they are caught.

FIRST OF ALL KNOW ONE HERE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT ANYTHING. JJ AND JG ARE DAMN GOOD DRIVER'S. I HAPPEN TO BE A JOHNSON FAN AND ALWAYS WILL BE. EVERYONE CHEATS PEOPLE IT IS JUST WHO CAN WALK AWAY WITHOUT BEING CAUGHT. GRANTED I DID NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT CHAD KNAUS DID SOMETHING TO JIMMIE'S CAR LAST YR. BUT HE STILL DESERVED THE TITLE. HE DOMINTED IN THOSE RACES HE WON AND HE KICKED *** IN THE FINAL TEN RACES. ACTUALLY MATT KENSETH WOULD NOT HAVE WON. THE POINTS STILL WOULD HAVE FAVORED JJ AND KENSETH WOULD HAVE LOST BY SIX INSTEAD OF 56.

I think both those idiots should be barred from racing all
together. They play dirty. Some day some one is going to
crawl up there backs and watch out. Give racing a bad
reputation the way they caring on out there on the track. Thats
not good sportsmanship at all.
