Be willing to accept some discomfort to reach an end result of nice teeth. Tell the Dentist that you want porcelain fillings and even another Dentist will have difficulty finding the fillings when compared to other teeth. They look so natural.

My advice is to not focus on any pain or needles and not look at what they begin to do. Your mind inflates a painful situation far beyond any real pain.

My dentist gives me a pill ahead of time that is very soothing. Then he takes his time on the numbing stuff on the q-tips.

Once I'm numbed in this no-rush method, I hardly feel anything.

Always insist on the white composite/porcelain fillings. They bond the tooth together (and look great), where mercury ones actually weaken and eventually assists in breaking the teeth.

Just dreaming: Sure will be nice when we get the chemical drill here. They just smear it on, wait a few minutes, and all the cavity is flushed away! No drilling, no pain. Woohoo!

My dentist uses painless injection method, I think it's high liquid pressure injection.
