so it is fair to say one of two things here
sin is not from man but from angels, given that without them there would not be sin according to some ...
or Satan is doing Gods work by running hell for those who do sin ?

I think that the whole thing is such a man-made concept, there just isn't a hell, or demons, or any of that. I guess every good book needs an antagonist for contrast.

It's a little known Theological fact that Lucifer and Satan are two distinct personages. Lucifer fell from the beginning of time. Satan was an angel whos job was to test the souls of people. Satan fell sometime in between the events recorded in Job and the time Christ was on earth. Christ is the one who indicated Satan fell. Jewish Theologians do not accept Christ's teachings, hence to them Satan is still an angel. There were three seperate falls recorded in the Bible. The fall of Lucifer, the fall of the Nephilim in Genesis 6, and the fall of Satan. St. Jerome began to consider Satan and Luciferthe same personage, which has created the confusion. So even if Satan hadn't fallen, there was still Lucifer and the Nephillim.

Christians are the only people who believe in Hell. Islam, Zoroastrians, Sikhs also believe in a Hell of somekind. Did you also know that Pagan religons believed in a Hell? The Romans believed in Styx, The Egyptians believed in a lake of fire not unlike Christians. Aztecs, Celts, Greeks, Babylonians, Norsemen, etc., also had a belief in a Hell like place for souls of unworthy people. Likewise, even religions that believe in reincarnation (such as many Buddhist sects) believe in a Hell like place where souls go to be purified. These religions have their own versions of demons as well.

This is fairy land so let's play.I think the whole god satan thing is a public relations gimmick. Here's the premise for my thinking;
God is eternal and all powerful all knowing etc. Nothing escapes this sky fairy-past, present or future. Are we to assume that he can not deal with a fallen angel? Or do we have to postulate that the devil is endowed with the same attributes as god. There is one solution to this conundrum. They are one and the same character. After all the devil doesn't chose you; god rejects you. In a way he is an employ of the big guy. What god doesn't want he gets. Like garbage disposal on a large scale. God has this fall guy take the bad rap.

I am surprised Pangel that as a fellow spiritualist you do not know that there is no Satan or Hell. You should know that we all go to spirit world, or Heaven as some like to call it, whether we have sinned or not. Satan and hell, as I have been told through trance mediumship do not exist, they are man made to enpower, frighten and indoctrinate. Forgive me if you merely asked the question just to see what response you would receive.

hello pangel love thats a bit of a nasty comment you got back there!

when satan fell from heaven he was cast down to wander the earth with his followers to wander as spirits till the return of the lord on judgement day. as a spirit form the demon host cannot survive long so they need a host wich is why possesion by demons has been a popular "myth" for thousands of years

on the day of judgement the lord will select 144000 young virgin males where if the fallen have repented and returned to their lord they will be ressurected into the host bodies to return with god into heaven,

the war of Armaggeddon is about making the host population un suitable (us lot) for them to use as they can't abide extreme human emotions like intense pain or hunger and will be forced to wander from host to host until they do repent

hell as a concept was started by people who didn't understand that the fallen were the ones in hell by being trapped here on earth and took the ancient ledgends as a thing for humans

religious writings are full of these quirky missunderstandings!

hope that cleared up some stuff for you!

I guess Satan had to fall because if there were no bad there could be no good either. So God created Hell in an attempt to contain evil but evil is pretty good at leaking out unfortunately.
Satan and demons can go on outings. Watch out :-)

This question is too hypothetical. There was a fall, and it is far from Christian only belief,Whilst they may chose others names
than demons,Many religions have encountered the evil forces. Demons do attack humans.
No,Satan is not running Hell ,Satan is walking to and fro upon the Earth, seeking those He make devourer,His fate is sealed. He will
be bound, changed and cast into the abyss.

Well, my dear, if Satan had not fallen, there might not have been the temptation in the Garden of Eden, and perhaps Adam would not have disobeyed the commandment not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. And if Adam had not committed this high treasonous act then sin might not have occurred on the planet.
And if sin had not occurred then the reconciliation of Christ through the Blood Sacrifice on the Cross would not have been necessary nor taken place.
A lot of ifs but there your are.

The tree of knowledge exsisted before Satans fall it is a mistake to assume that Satan created evil, God afterall is the creator of everything, Satan is not nesseciarly the snake in the Garden nor does Lucifer appear in any bible except the King James version,

How do you know Satan was the "fallen" one? Maybe God's the one who went against the grain and is enticing you all with his false prophecies and tempting you with promises of paradise and eternal life etc...

Maybe Jesus was just some subversive hippie - crashing parties to turn water into wine and preaching about "free love", before hooking up with a prostitute... "No, no, my dear, love should be FREE..."

Perhaps Satan is the one with the true knowledge and power - he doesn't need to go recruiting - he knows everyone's coming to him in the end...

Maybe it's all just a fairy story to make people do as they're told... Nah, can't be - the bible says so!!! Must be true... Musn't it?

All the good people do not go to heaven, all the forgiven people go to heaven. God is God no matter what you think of Him. There is a reason Satan was casted out from heaven. He believes in God but He did wrong and is not asking forgiveness and does not repent. : )
