Jesus Christ said I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. With out through me none will reach the Father in Heaven.

Then how could a pope be the way to Heavenly Father?

I am not catholic but when a person refers to the pope as holy father it is understood that he is just a man who is representing Christ. The Holy Father is a title of respect. Just as you would call your biological father, Father, the pope is considered the Father of the family of Roman Catholics. Holy, strictly speaking means separated. Separated from the world to the service of God.
I Cr 13;8a
I don't have a degree in Bible, so this is the best I can do right now.
Hope this helps.

Perhaps it is becuse, somewhere deep within Mankind feel that all are sparks of Divinity.

Some sparks, perhaps are so intense that, it seems the light is more from these.

Perhaps the it is because the sparks of higher intensity are given some respect and reverence.

edit:-

When Jesus Christ said I, perhaps He meant the Fundamental I, not the egotistical I.

Fundmental I meaning all pervading Divinity, the Divine Light of Love THAT pervade Jesus, the Father and Holy Spirit.

In that manner Pope as a Spark of Omnipresent, Divine Fundamental I can be a way.

We share an eternal relationship with God,that's why God should be called Holy Father. But Pope is a precepor that show us the way to reach God,so he too is entitled to be called Holy Father.
This phenomenon is purely subjective though.

I dont think it matters. You can call a Pope or God Holy Father. Its the same thing like how you call a priest Father, and you call your own dad Father.

Language has changed and the bible has been translated.
Use a concordance that allows for Greek and Hebrew translation.

And I think it is sin to try and create disbelief in another mans religion (as long as that religion teaches love and not to kill others.) I think it is good enough to say I do not agree. BTW I do not agree with the Catholic Doctrines if your curious.
