Why don't US send Iraqi troops for patrolling ?

Daily we hear causalities in US army by road side bombs, IED etc Why do US soldiers go patrolling if they are so much targetted in Iraq ? These patrolling jobs can be given to Iraqi soldiers.

Dealing with the training of these guys first hand I can answer. The Iraqi Army is decent, corrupt but decent. The Iraqi Police are nothing but cowards. They are terrified to engage the enemy and I have been all over this country. For example, an IP officer was shot and killed at my station 2 days ago. They abandoned their post and brought the body back to the station. Then about 60 showed up from various points in the city to cry and mourn over the body. They know the sniper by name, know where he lives even. They refused to engage him in any way. Refused to get into the trucks and go after him. They claim they were afraid. We cannot motivate these people to simply do the right thing. That is why everyone who ever invaded walked right over them. A nation of cowards.
It is time to turn the country over to them, we are in that phase of the process now but they refuse to police their own cities. They want the big tit of America forever.

The same reason that if they contract you for a job at a coffee shop as manager. You had darn well better make it appear as if you are doing your job. Patrols are part of the beautiful army experience. Giving the jobs to Iraqis is like telling the supervisor to take care of the customers as you go to the back of the store to read Mad Magazine.

Because alot of the Iraq soldiers are incompetent and lazy more time than not they dont even show up for duty

would rather pay Halliburtons hire to kill gangs(a subsidiary). Iraqi troops are cowards and are not committed to fight for a presumed reason we are there(for their freedom and to set up our definition of democracy).
