Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my TV, I have sky and the five usual terrestrial channels. When I select the volume I want, and go through the channels, the volume is fine until I get to ITV 1. I have to turn the volume right up, and then when I move to another channel, the volume is really high.

Why is it that ITV 1's volume is so low? Can anybody tell me?

Did I mention I am unable to use my hands and have to work through a computer. I'm not lazy, remember, you shouldn't be so quick to criticise, without knowing all the facts. Try answering the question on face value instead of trying to be a wise****

hi,

don't know if you are using a scart adaptor, if you are then that will be the answer, change it to a better one. a good one will cost £30. This will save your speakers from blowing, and a huge cost of buying a new tv.

All the best wg

I find the same thing and can be MIGHTY annoying when for whatever reason you can be watching a programme, the adverts come on, and BOOM ... HUGE volume change ... Like to say "You will listen to us sell our Wares !"
Why the TV companies cannot have equal sound levels I have no idea sadly ... just wish they would, does my heeeeed in.

Check your TVs functions. There may be a thing called "Auto Level" or something. Set this to "ON" ... might assist.

I know just how debilitating it must be to have to pick up the remote control and press the volume button. My heart goes out to you. I would mount a campaign against ITV 1 to make them broadcast their programmes louder to save yourself all that work.

It's fine on mine - maybe you have a problem with the tuning for that channel?
