You have insomnia and need to see a doctor for a sleep aid. They are available in non-narcotic form now. You do need to go to school though. It sometimes becomes a habit for teens to not go to school. I agree with your mom but also you need professional help with your sleep problems. Good Luck.

If this in an going issue re: sleep problems I'd see a doctor. You may have an imbalance (chemical, etc). Are you under new stress? If so you can talk to someone about it.

Did you tell her you didn't sleep? How often can't you sleep at night? Maybe you should tell your Mom this and tell her you need to see a doctor because you might have insomnia.

Sleep and rest are a must when body demands it. Please tell your mom that you can not go against the law of nature and should not be forced to school in such a state.
