HI, THERE IS DIFERENT IN BOTH CONDITION, PILONIDAL SINUS IS A CONDITION IN WHICH HAIR IN PERIANAL AREA GET INFECTED AND IN FISTULA IS A BLIND OPENING IN BETWEEN ANUS TO PERANAL AREA. HAVE U ANYTHING IN THESE.

My son had a pilonidal cyst when he was in high school. He had lots of treatments for it, cauterizations, but ultimately had to have it operated on when it was getting worse. Once he had the surgery, it was gone and he hasn't had any trouble with it. It took a long time though. I am thinking a fistula is in the rectum-different area.
