Today war is always inevitable, like the other one said, our hopes are directed to the youth, the next generation. Teach them the horrors of war, the right ethics and morals. Take away vengence, greed and selfishness in their dictionary. While yes, many have already implented this, there are still a lot of children out there that are not being thought of these values... While most goverments think of increasing the science levels of their schools to produce brilliant thinkers, it will also spawn ingenious and radical minds that could lead to crime and political dispute. I'm not saying that a high science in schools is a bad thing... But they should also start teaching proper ethics and morals, while yes they mostly do these at kindergarten or so. It stops somewhere in the high school and college life, where the youth are easily corrupted by peers and influence. I'm not talking about a religious subject, no, i'm talking about teaching the right decisions and proper ethics that could lead to harmony and peace. While this kind of things are already possible. In order to fully take effect and eliminate greed and hatred, all nations, schools, rich or not, must have these subjects to teach to the youth.

So all the nations that are already helping each other out there, time prioritize the teachings about friendship and for the greater good.

When I was 17 my mother, bless her heart, fulfilled my summer dream
She handed me the keys to the car
We motored down to Paris, fuelled with Dexedrine and booze
Got bust in Antibes by the cops
And fleeced in Naples by the wops
But everyone was kind to us, we were the English dudes
Our dads had helped them win the war
When we all knew what we were fighting for
But now an Englishman abroad is just a US stooge
The bulldog is a poodle snapping round the scoundrel's last refuge

Are these the people that we should bomb
Are we so sure they mean us harm
Is this our pleasure, punishment or crime
Is this a mountain that we really want to climb
The road is hard, hard and long
Put down that two by four
This man would never turn you from his door
Oh George! Oh George!
That Texas education must have fucked you up when you were very small

Is gentleness too much for us
Should gentleness be filed along with empathy
We feel for someone else's child
Every time a smart bomb does its sums and gets it wrong
Someone else's child dies and equities in defence rise
America, America, please hear us when we call
You got hip-hop, be-bop, hustle and bustle
You got Atticus Finch
You got Jane Russell
You got freedom of speech
You got great beaches, wildernesses and malls
Don't let the might, the Christian right, **** it all up
For you and the rest of the world

Not in my name, Tony, you great war leader you
Terror is still terror, whosoever gets to frame the rules
History's not written by the vanquished or the damned
Now we are Genghis Khan, Lucretia Borghia, Son of Sam
In 1961 they took this child into their home
I wonder what became of them
In the cauldron that was Lebanon
If I could find them now, could I make amends?
How does the story end?

No matter how much you try, you will never be able to stop war, because it is in our nature to rebel against the things that others impose on us, we are unique, we are stubborn, we uphold the values that we believe in strongly, the influences of others as we were growing up, there will never be a way for every person in the Human race to ever take a mutual understanding on everyone else's viewpoints and work towards the goal, a scientific impossibility.

All we can do is try and live the best we can and work through all the problems that we have, making the best out of what we can.

That could be a little pessimistic, but it is the reality of the world in which we live, only up to everyone to choose for themselves what they believe most about. And right now, I know a lot of people will disagree with what i have said here, but everyone has their own opinions which differ from my own, as I said above.

Just be yourself every little helps. We are all a small cog in the wheel of life and if everyone was nice there would not be wars, sickness.God ask us just to be kind and to love each other and if we do that then we are making things better.I often wonder can i do more to help the world and the cruelty that is happening but i do not have much money so i pray for the world instead and that is my goodness going out into the world.

Stop waiting for the world to change and take the first step yourself! What are you doing to spread love, peace and harmony?

Just spread positive vibrations to those u meet along the way. Speak of love, peace, and the devine nature within. Do not get caught up in materialism and simply teach the younger generations to stand up for their right to be free!

By feeling love, not hatred and sending out positive thoughts always to others and to the wider Universe so that it has a knock on effect. If everyone stopped being judgemental, pessimistic and negative it would make such a HUGE difference.

Try to understand each other. Ignorance produces fear beacuse many people will fear what they do not understand. People often hate what they fear and in turn attack what they hate. The more people can talk to each other reasonably enough to understand that the vast majority of us do in fact desire world peace, the less we will hate, fear , and attack each other. This forum sometimes has the potential for that type of interaction between folks of various ideologies. Other times the extremists of various beliefs ruin it for the rest of us but in the end I believe reason can overpower ignorance. Questions like yours are a good start.

By starting with the young generation. You cannot change adults' mind set. But children are still blank when it concerns all sort of tensions, prejucide, hatred, etc. If we all would raise our children without prjecting our own ideas and fears and hatred, this world - in the long run - would be a better place.
