How many kilowatts of energy or power used in an average household would depend on the size of the house, number of people living there as well as their lifestyle. Not only that, but where they live will also make a difference. If they live in the northern portion of the USA or southern Canada, the consumption would be different than the southern USA. Also, you need to consider the heating method. Are they heating their home with natural gas, propane or with electricity. If it is in the summer, do they use air conditioning? In winter, do they park their vehicle in a heated parking area? Do they have an engine heater or a heater in the vehicle that is plugged into the household electrical system? Other factors include, is it an apartment or a house? How big is the apartment or house?
